obsidian behemots do blunt damage? - Guild Wars Forums

I hear that Obsidian Behemots do blunt dmg, yet they are rangers with ranged attacks? Would like to hear other people's opinions bout this =)

It could be right cuz they do a fair amount of dmg... But wtf? Means i need to carry yet another shield set.

BTW Give us more weapon sets Anet ! 4 is NOT enough

I heard they do no damage to you if you swap to melee weapons. Just run past them and ignore them (Just dont run up to them because the Traps will deffinitely not ignore you

they throw heavy rocks at you rocks are like hammers blunt damage :P

Yes they do blunt damage.

Just manually switch your shield from your inventory. Takes only 2 sec.

keep spare weapons in your equipment bag (yes, the new bags added a while back). Have that sqaure ready so when you press I, you can double click a weapon and then exit the inventory window. If you are good, doing this doesn't take any more time than switching weapon sets.

If you need to switch shields to survive, you're doing something wrong.

(PvE)
I've never bothered to carry anything but a bog-standard -5/20% and have fought lots of behemoths.
I've also never needed more than 3 weapon sets. (PvE again)

Edit - never needed to use more than three weapon sets - usually only 1 set - but I do have 4 of course.

A good idea is to get the Vanguard insignia.
It helps a lot lets you use a different skill than AoE, if you are bringing aoe :P
